My Eczema Story

I’m Cassie Jaravata. I’ve suffered from severe eczema for over 15 years. For most of my life, I’ve used conventional medicine’s go-to solution of topical steroid creams and oral drugs. In 2015, I finally stopped using steroids when I couldn’t deny any longer that they were doing my body more harm than good. I went through topical steroid withdrawal (TSW), but my eczema never really subsided. In 2017, I learned about the natural, holistic approach to healing eczema, and I embarked on my own healing journey of truly ridding my body of eczema for the first time in my life. I hope my story provides encouragement, comfort, and hope to others who suffer from eczema and inspires people to live their happiest, healthiest lives.

Hey, it's Cassie, and I am the naturalistic nurse. I've suffered from severe eczema for as long as I can remember. For most of my life, I used conventional medicine's go-to solution of topical steroid creams and oral drugs, but they never gave me any lasting relief. My skin would constantly flare up, usually even nastier than the breakout before. Yet I continued with steroids because I didn't know what else to do.

This painful cycle made me feel so confused, frustrated, scared, and just hopeless. In 20 15, I stopped using steroids when I couldn't deny any longer that they were doing my body more harm than good, and I haven't let steroids touch my body since. For the next 2 years, I went through topical steroid withdrawal as my body adjusted to no longer being immunosuppressed by steroid use, but my eczema never really subsided.

In 20 17, I learned about the natural, holistic approach to healing eczema, and I embarked on my own healing journey to truly rid my body of eczema for the first time in my life. With an integrative approach including a cleaner diet, regular exercise, practicing daily gratitude, prioritizing self-love, and finding community, I've been able to heal so much of my eczema, unburdening both my mind and body of the torment it caused me for so many years. I'm still working hard to heal my body more and more every single day, but I know with persistence, creativity, and a strong will, I'll reach that day that my skin is eczema-free.

I hope that my story provides encouragement, comfort, and hope to others who suffer from eczema and inspires you to live your most natural life.
